This demo reel has two different scenes. The first is a scene from my own graphic novel that I have been working on for a couple years now. The scene shows a "Face-off" between the female lead and the main villain. The design of the villain is my original concept and has multiple inspirations varying from movies to video games. When I designed him, I wanted his armor to have an intimidating and threatening feel to him, but at the same time be believable. Something that was cool and interesting to look at, but did not seem outlandish and far fetched. It took a fair bit of work to get all the layers on him; from the synthetic muscle mesh and to get the armored exterior just right and to make sure that all the little plates around the joints moved correctly, to make sure that as the arms or legs moved that there was no clipping or crashing on any of the meshes.

The inspiration for my female soldier came from a few movies, the majority of which came from Ghost in The Shell and Black Widow from the Marvel movies. Someone who at first glance was not an intimidating character, until one decided to tangle with her.

The second scene of my reel features a Batmobile that took cues from the one featured in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I redesigned this Batmobile to have body shape similar to the 1989 Tim Burton Batmobile, the combat abilities of the Batmobile in the Batman Arkham Knight video game, but still look like it belongs to the universe of BvS. I also wanted this 3D model to be entirely 3D printable. To do that I had to make certain that it was able to have functional features like the suspension, opening canopy, turnable wheels, and all the retractable weapons. As well as having the body be able to flex with the suspension and transform into a battle mode. I even went as far as to make little details that you wouldn't even see to make sure it would function properly and able to be structurally sound.
